About the University

University of Tennessee at Martin (UT Martin), founded in 1927, is the premier public university in West Tennessee within a 250-acre rural campus. It offers more than 100 specialized undergraduate and graduate programs through five colleges, including Agriculture, Engineering, Business, Education, and Fine Arts. The university balances academic rigor with real-world engagement—students benefit from opportunities like ROTC, experimental farm work, and strong clinical pathways in nursing and health sciences, all supported by a dedicated student–faculty ratio of about 16:1
